Ana Maria Viscasillas
Ana Maria is a seasoned expert in the global tourism industry, with a particular focus on hotels, business travel, and MICE travel (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Events).
Ana Maria is the former President & CEO of the Puerto Rico Convention Bureau. Her many accomplishments include the successful launch and marketing of the new Puerto Rico Convention Center. She has served on many boards including DMAI, BestCities Global Alliance, COCAL, USTA, Puerto Rico Hotel and Tourism Association, and the Sports Tourism Council.
Ana Maria holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor degree in Travel and Tourism Management.
Project Systems Manager
Anne has been with the InterVISTAS Consulting Group for almost fifteen years. Anne supports our Economic Strategic Services, Planning, and Border practices. She is respected for her administrative and project management skills. Anne manages the fieldwork teams for the majority of the customer satisfaction survey programs.
For three years, Anne was the administrative coordinator for the YVR Master Plan team. This was a complex project involving activities and interactions with a broad community of stakeholders, consultants, corporations, government officials and executives and staff of the Vancouver Airport Authority. Anne’s performance in this capacity earned praise for the quality of her work and dedicated performance in meeting tight deadlines while staying within budget.

His accomplishments at the Metropolitan Washington Airports, the Airports Council International, and the Air Transport Association form the basis for 20 years of successful consulting for public and private sector clients worldwide.
Barney is an expert at integrating global trends and perspectives with specific and varied project requirements. This expertise has enabled him to provide the benefits of his long-standing involvement in the international air transport sector to the unique requirements of clients, projects and initiatives.
Senior Vice President, Planning
Valued by clients for his candid demeanor, Brian is passionate about assisting airport operators with their most challenging infrastructure planning issues. Brian’s primary experience includes airport master planning for diverse market sizes, with an emphasis on large hubs. He has served as a technical advisor on several airport transactions, including the privatization of Luis Munoz International Airport in Puerto Rico.
Brian enjoys working with clients and stakeholders to formulate solutions that enjoy consensus and which are founded upon operational efficiency, environmental prudence, and fiscal responsibility. Brian is a professional engineer with over 15 years of experience in planning for airports in North America and Europe.

Cathy is a senior executive with over 32 years of progressive experience with the Canadian Federal Government including regional and headquarters levels. She brings expertise in customs and immigration border management including passenger and commercial processing, security and enforcement, risk assessment, trade, and international relations. Cathy also brings significant experience in human resources and in the management of large operational and policy organizations including directing large projects to improve border services and to create organizational effectiveness and efficiency. She is a strong leader and is skilled in effective communication, stakeholder and client relations.
Cathy has a Masters in Public Administration from Dalhousie University.
Celina is involved in research and analysis for a wide range of economic, regulatory, and logistics projects for several government and private sector clients in Canada and the U.S.
She has served as the primary analyst in a number of economic impact studies, assessing the contribution of numerous airports, ports and tourism activity to the economy. She also provides support for various trade analyses, market leakage studies, literature reviews and other transportation studies, identifying key findings and insights.
She has experience working with several international trade databases and statistical applications. Celina holds a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of British Columbia.
Vice President, Air Service Development
Chris brings several years of consulting experience in various air service development and airline-related engagements, as well as over a decade in commercial and financial roles with major U.S. airlines.
Chris spent several years at American Airlines in route profitability, revenue management, and codeshare planning related roles. Following a stint at TWA, he spent over seven years at ExpressJet Airlines as Senior Director of Strategic Planning, where he led the network design and planning process for a 42-aircraft line of business start-up.
Chris earned an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Rice University.
Dedicated to turning information into knowledge, Christopher helps create solutions for clients by making sense out of a complicated world. As an Analyst, Christopher applies his skills in quantitative analysis to a variety of projects, with a speciality in econometric analysis and forecasting. He is passionate about the aviation and transportation industry, and is motivated by helping clients better understand the global and interconnected nature of their industry.
Christopher is currently completing a Master’s degree in Economics at the University of Victoria. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science, also from the University of Victoria.
Dan is an experienced airport master planner who specializes in ground transportation facility planning. He understands the relationships between the physical, operational, and financial needs of airports. Dan has worked at over 35 airports throughout the world., managing master plans in Brazil, Ecuador, Harrisburg, and Panama and assisted on many others. He has conducted a wide range of ground access studies including curbside and roadway planning; parking strategies, layouts, designs, and demand analysis; rental car facility planning; and traffic simulation.
Dan holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering (transportation) from the University of California, Berkeley and is fluent in Spanish.

Executive Vice President
David has worked extensively in the aviation industry serving as a Principal at SH&E for over 24 years. He advises large, medium, and small-sized airports on air service development issues, airport marketing, and economic impacts.
He has been instrumental in creating numerous successful air service plans resulting in new airline service for his airport clients.
Over the past five years Dave’s efforts have led to over a dozen new routes, including the first ever transpacific and transatlantic routes for two major U.S. hubs. He has also performed a wide range of studies for air carriers and state aviation agencies.
President and CEO
Deborah Meehan has over 30 years of experience in aviation consulting. She is a trusted advisor to senior management at airports and airlines due to her expertise in airport planning, demand forecasts, and airline strategies. Deborah has testified before the United States Congress on various aviation matters.
Deborah’s strength is her knowledge of airports and understanding of the global aviation industry. She was President and Chief Operating Officer of SH&E (1999-2011), now ICF SH&E, the former President of the Airport Consultant Council, and a Member of the Associates Board of Governors of ACI. Deborah has a Master in Urban Planning from Harvard University.
Debra, an Ottawa-based consultant, provides analysis and advice to industry and government on integrated strategies for tourism, aviation, and economic development.
She has served as president of the Tourism Industry Association of Canada and was the federally appointed Independent Transition Observer on Airline Restructuring, for which she was awarded the 2003 National Transportation Week Award of Achievement.
Debra is currently a board member of the Travel & Tourism Research Association (Canada) and has served on a number of advisory boards and committees including for the Auditor General of Canada and the Ministers of National Revenue, Transport, and International Trade.
Doris has worked with numerous clients in various industries to identify broad economic benefits. With 15 years of marketing and consulting experience at InterVISTAS, she manages the economic impact analysis practice.
Doris also works in several different areas including market research, air service development, economic analysis and market intelligence. She has been involved in and has project managed several integrative consulting projects that span across several different practice areas.

Eddy possesses extensive experience in air carrier operations, having worked more than 10 years for Canadian air carriers.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography, specializing in spatial information systems, from Simon Fraser University and a Diploma in Airport Operations from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.

Gavin focuses on solving challenges faced by airport operators in their parking and ground transportation facilities. His approach recognizes the inter-relationships between the physical, operational, and financial aspects of these airport facilities and their combined influence on the airline passenger experience and the operational and business needs of the airports and their tenants. Over the last 20 years he has applied this comprehensive approach at over 50 airports in North America, Europe, and Asia, including work for airport authorities and owners, private airport operators, and other stakeholders.

Since joining InterVISTAS in 2003, Geneva has been involved in a range of different projects, including air service development, route analysis, economic impact studies, air passenger market research, and intelligence reports.

Ian is a transportation economist with more than fifteen years of experience helping clients by developing innovative solutions in forecasting, economics, and strategic planning.
Ian’s areas of specialization include demand forecasting, economic impact studies, policy analysis, econometric analysis, and risk analysis. He has worked on projects in North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.
Manager, Airline Strategy
Ian is passionate about the aviation industry with particular interest in airline network and operational planning. He enjoys helping airlines design network strategies that maximize profit while also facilitating operational excellence.
Ian has over a decade of airline experience, most recently at WestJet, where his primary role was leading flight schedule design and development He also worked in network, fleet and airport facility planning functions. Prior to WestJet, Ian worked with over a dozen airlines from around the world in various airport operations roles at Servisair.
Ian holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in marketing from the University of Alberta.
With a strong interest in travel and aviation, James provides quality and communicative analysis of operational and strategic solutions for airline clients.
James provides advanced airline network modelling and financial planning analysis using specialized industry tools and databases for start-up airlines, regional and network carriers within Europe, Africa and North America. He provides primary research, data analysis, network modelling and traffic forecasting for a wide range of projects related to airline network planning, air services development and PPP projects.
James also takes on roles involving proposal and presentation development and project management.
His previous experience includes work in economic research, private equity, and venture capital. James holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Finance from McGill University, Quebec.

Janice is responsible for Human Resources Management and Corporate Services for the InterVISTAS Consulting Group.
She has an extensive background in corporate administration and over 20 years of high level experience in human resources. She brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding to the complexities of a dynamic and growing international company. Janice directly manages or oversees all HRM functions and she has a broad range of corporate duties and responsibilities including Office Manager for the Vancouver office.
Janice’s pro-active approach and organizational skills make her a vital part of our team. Prior to InterVISTAS, Janice worked for the Vancouver Airport Authority.

Jim has more than 30 years of experience as a senior airport executive, investment banker, and aviation consultant. He has been a trusted advisor to airports, airlines, investors, debt providers, and financial institutions regarding the sale, finance, and purchase of aviation assets.
Jim consults on air service development, deficiency analyses, forecasting, feasibility and cargo studies, land use and master planning, terminal area plans, airport/airline use and leasing, and bilateral negotiations.
Jim holds a Master in Mathematical Economics from the University of West Virginia and a Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma, Tulsa.
Jody is passionate about numbers and how they relate to the world around her. She helps clients understand and use numbers to improve their business performance in various segments of the transportation industry.
Jody provides support on a variety of projects including econometric analysis of transportation demand, forecasting, policy cost-benefit analysis, airport land and property valuation and economic analysis for transportation arbitration proceedings, among others.
Jody holds a Master of Maritime and Air Transport Management from the University of Antwerp, Belgium and a Bachelor of Science in Financial Mathematics and Economics from the University of Victoria, British Columbia.

Jordan’s lifelong career in aviation spans airline consulting and top executive management both at airlines (Chairman at LCC SkyEurope, CEO at flag carrier Olympic Airways) and airport service companies (TCR Board).
Jordan advised airlines, governments and private/institutional investors on airline startup and funding, development/expansion, strategy, restructuring, transformation, valuation and airport PPP. He also advised supranational institutions (IFC/World Bank and EBRD) on privatization and strategic partnerships worldwide (IB-Viasa, Aeromexico-Aeroperu, Alitalia-Malev, Air France-CSA, BA-Danair, and Delta-BWIA); Jordan developed and applied a model for strategic partner evaluation and selection.
Jordan’s accomplishments have been featured in industry publications (Airline Business, ATW, AirFinance and WSJ). Jordan was educated at Princeton and MIT.
With a strong passion for aviation and tourism, Jordan provides insight into his research and analysis. He is part of a team that helps clients translate data into actionable plans and strategies.
Jordan holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida and is currently working on a Master of Business Administration in Aviation from the same university. With a diverse background in airport operations, simulation modeling, terminal capacity analyses, airport ground access, and security screening, Josh assists clients with innovative and well-rounded solutions to their most complex problems. He has extensive experience working with airport operators and government regulators in the United States, Great Britain, and Brazil.

Kenneth focuses on legal and economic analyses of airline and airport issues with particular emphasis on aviation network systems, operating economics, the aviation regulatory system, and the international competitive framework of the industry. He has a wealth of experience with the use of aviation statistics to forecast aviation activity, air service development, and airline and airport revenue and cost issues.
Kenneth leads InterVISTAS’ finance and commercial practice for North and South America. Kenneth earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wesleyan University.
Marcus joined InterVISTAS in October 2015 as Managing Director to lead the team out of London specializing in transactional advice and asset management consultancy and advisory support. He started his career in retail operations in BAA plc and was the Commercial Director for London Luton Airport during its first private ownership phase. Marcus is an expert on airport business planning with a focus on commercial and operational improvements. He has led and supported the transformation of airport businesses across the globe including delivering a 30% improvement in productivity and strong growth in commercial yields at Luton, and significant EBITDA growth of London City Airport, He built up a portfolio of European assets including Bristol, Birmingham, Rome, Copenhagen and Brussels airports for a major infrastructure fund and played a key interface role with investors and debt providers including fundraising and road show events.
Vice President, Modelling and Technical Approaches
Marcus has an unyielding passion for designing sustainable, profitable route networks in the airline industry. He advises airline clients on network planning and optimization, aircraft scheduling, airport operations control, and strategic business planning.
Marcus has expertise with network design and fleet assigner software, delivering projects for passenger and cargo airline clients worldwide. He also assists airport clients in air service development. Marcus has worked in the Network Planning and Scheduling departments at Air Canada.

Maria holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Mariel contributes to a variety of projects, including air service development and strategic reviews. She is a key contributor in linking Airline Strategies at Airports and Tourism Development and has been part of numerous task force efforts to bring needed air service into specific areas.
With a strong background in event management and planning and a desire for excellence, Mariel provides expert support on various projects. Her outstanding customer service skills provide a gateway to superior client relations and service.
Mariel studied at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Isenberg School of Management and received a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management with a concentration in Tourism, Convention, and Event Planning.

Mick is an all-round airport business economist with 20 years of experience in economic consulting roles, 15 of which are in the air transport industry.
During his six-year employment with Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, he gained extensive experience in the field of airport economics and finance. Among his various roles in the Schiphol organization was that of financial controller of Schiphol USA in New York.
Prior to joining InterVISTAS, Mick worked for several years for the financial practice of a major international consulting firm. Mick works in senior (project management) roles on airport privatizations and financial planning projects.
Chief Economist & Chief Strategy Officer
Mike is considered one of the leading transportation economists in the world. He serves as an expert witness and advisor to governments, airlines, airports, ports, ferry operators, terminal operators and railways. Mike has done work throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Africa, and Europe. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and organization planning sessions.
Dr. Tretheway earned a PhD in economics from the University of Wisconsin and served for 14 years as Associate Professor of Transportation & Logistics at the University of British Columbia. He has taught at several universities and training institutes in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australasia.
A tactical thinker and creative problem solver, Nicholas has a passion for travel and aviation. He enjoys evaluating complex problems from many angles to help clients better understand the world around them and to develop successful strategies.
With a background in corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions, Nicholas has worked on transactions and projects across Canada in a variety of industries including infrastructure and natural resources. He also served for several years in the Canadian Armed Forces.
Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance from the University of British Columbia, and has lived across Canada and in Sweden.
With a strong passion for aviation, Noel brings a high level of enthusiasm to his position as Project Analyst. He helps with a variety of projects for InterVISTAS with the goal of providing innovative and quality solutions for clients.
As a Private Pilot and recent Economics graduate, he brings a unique multi-disciplinary approach to his work. Noel holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a minor in Business from the University of Victoria.
Paul delivers solutions in customer satisfaction tracking research, customer experience assessments, performance benchmarking, stakeholder consultation and engagement exercises, workshop facilitation, strategic planning, and tourism development. Paul has completed projects in five continents for airports, tourism, and transportation organizations.
In addition to his consulting experience, Paul directed a number of Tourism British Columbia’s key worldwide marketing initiatives related to the 2010 Winter Olympics, and held senior positions in strategic planning, marketing and market research for Tourism Whistler, Forbes Travel International, and Vancouver Airport Authority. Paul has both a Master and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Geography.
Paul is passionate about commercial aviation and is based out of InterVISTAS’ Boston office. He provides insightful analysis and professional advice for air service developments and airline strategies.
Previously, Paul was involved in several projects at IATA Consulting. He provided professional advice to airline, airport and civil aviation clients in various parts of the world and developed solid knowledge of both the commercial and technical aspects of aviation.
Paul holds a Canadian Private Pilot License and has attended several ICAO events to remain aware of key trends and developments.
Paul is fluent in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University in International Management and Marketing.

Paul has more than 25 years of destination marketing and management experience and is specialized in developing and negotiating long-term strategic plans with private and public sector stakeholders. His expertise is in providing advice on best practices in managing complex destination sales, marketing and servicing organizations, performance measurement and benchmarking, and tourism master planning.
Paul is a part-time instructor in international destination marketing, tourism policy, and planning at Capilano University. He holds a Master’s degree from the University of Waterloo.

Throughout his career Peter has helped airport operators improve their roadways, curbsides, parking facilities, and commercial vehicle operations. He offers creative solutions based upon his extensive knowledge and practical experience, gained while assisting more than 50 major airports in North America and overseas. His solutions focus on improving customer service, operations, and revenues. In addition to his work for airports, he has authored Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) guidebooks on roadways, parking, commercial vehicles, and the use of transit at airports which are considered industry standards.
Peter, who is a licensed professional engineer with over 30 years of experience, holds a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut.

Senior Vice President
Richard has over 30 years of experience in the transportation and aviation sectors including extensive experience in airport management, marketing and development. His multi-faceted government affairs and transportation background includes extensive experience in the development of commercial strategies and policies in the aviation, maritime and surface transportation sectors.
Prior to InterVISTAS, Richard was a member of the management team at the Washington Airports and held positions at the U.S. Department of Transportation, American Trucking Associations and the U.S. Senate.

Rick is a highly experienced Project Manager and international aviation specialist, identifying growth strategies from inception to implementation. Rick draws from more than 35 years of airline and airport planning experience.
Over the last decade, Rick’s focus has been on emerging market economies in Southeast Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India, and Asia. He advises airports, airlines, and governments on understanding market growth drivers for air traffic market forecasts, privatizations, national planning, and/or airport expansion projects. Qatar formally recognized Rick’s outstanding contribution to the implementation of Qatar’s National Master Plan in supporting the arrangement of stakeholder training seminars held in Doha.
Vice President, Transportation & Logistics Studies
Rob provides innovative solutions in the areas of transportation policy, cargo economics and marketing, foreign trade zone development, and cargo gateway development. With experience in air, rail, and marine, Rob particularly enjoys the challenge of improving the operating environment and uncovering new revenue opportunities for clients.
Rob previously was senior policy advisor for the governments of Alberta and Manitoba and served as Director, International and Regulatory Affairs, for Winnport, a Canadian air cargo carrier.
He has a Master of Science in Transportation and Logistics from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from Queen’s University.

Sabine’s 17-year career with British Airways included positions in Strategy, Customer Services, Revenue Management, and Network Development.
Sabine led the network development of British Airways’ African, Middle Eastern, and Central Asian routes and managed route development and airline-airport relationships on British Airways’ transatlantic network. She has a proven track record and first-hand experience setting up new air service from visualization through to implementation.
Sabine holds a PhD in Economics and Business from the University of Reading, an MSc in International Business from The University of London, and a BA (Hons) in Travel and Tourism Management from Newcastle Business School.

From re-engineering flows of people and goods through a journey to newer ways of navigating through a risk-managed environment, Solomon has helped to implement solutions for a range of private/public sector clients.
He sits on the Board of the Airport Consultants Council and the Canadian/American Border Trade Alliance. As well, he is active on several committees for Airports Council International (World) and IATA.
Solomon has a Master of Science in Planning from the University of Toronto.

Sonjia’s strength is her diverse knowledge within the aviation industry, her work with both airlines and airports has benefitted clients of all sizes trying to solve complex business issues. She has managed many major projects providing advice and expertise to senior level executives.

Senior Manager, Sustainability and Process Planning
Stanley is a Senior Manager with InterVISTAS specializing in process flows, operations, and sustainability planning. With an operations research background, he applies both quantitative and qualitative analyses to projects in a variety of industries including airports, government agencies, transportation, and tourism. His work encompasses border facilitation, new concept development, transportation security, and carbon footprints/quantification.
Stanley holds a Master of Science in Operations Research from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor Arts in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario. Based in Vancouver, he is also certified by CSA Standards and ECO Canada as a Greenhouse Gas Inventory Quantifier.
Stephanie enjoys helping airport clients solve their most challenging problems. She has provided a variety of services, including physical planning, operational analyses, passenger and vehicle simulation modeling, and financial analysis. She is a co-author of two Airport Cooperative Research Program guidebooks and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences on the topic of emerging trends in airport ground transportation. She has been invited to speak at multiple airport board and city council meetings.
Stephanie is fluent in English and French. She holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Transportation) and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Senior Vice President
Leveraging his three decades of Washington experience, Steve helps clients get their voices heard before the Congress, Department of Transportation, FAA, Transportation Security Administration, Customs and Border Protection, and other federal agencies. He works on regulatory analysis (e.g., overflight fees and passenger rights), economic impact studies, economic development projects, and economic modeling.
Steve specializes in small community issues. He was principal investigator for a Transportation Research Board (TRB) study on air service at small communities and assists communities in developing and implementing regional economic strategies.
Steve has a Master’s degree from Duke University.
Taylor has a passion for aviation and economic market research, helping clients discover opportunities in developing and emerging regions.
Taylor prides herself on attention to detail and fulfilling all aspects of client needs. She splits her responsibilities between the air service development and airport finance and privatization departments. Specializing in North America, Brazil, and the Middle East, Taylor is experienced in forecasting aviation traffic for airports and airlines, generally based on economic conditions and historical trend analysis.
Prior to joining InterVISTAS in 2009, Taylor received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, with a specialization in Market Research.
Zoe has expertise in developing business strategies at airports that weave together the financial and marketing objectives of airports, airlines, and other airport service providers including retail, parking, and car rentals. Her analytical skills are broad and she has worked on projects in almost 50 cities worldwide.
Zoe delivers analytical work that is valuable to the client and the InterVISTAS team. Her focus is on business strategies at airports where she evaluates the impacts on airports of the changing aviation environment.
Zoe holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Villanova University and a Master in Education from Rosemont College.
