The Need
In an ambitious redevelopment program, Jersey (Channel Islands) Airport (1.5m pax) was seeking to significantly expand its retail revenues.
Our Role
Develop a new retail arena with double the size and improvement in performance; increase competition and introduce local players; secure investment from retailers during a financial crisis; oversee the implementation.
Results
The new facilities were opened in September 2009. The involvement of InterVISTAS lasted 2.5 years. A much larger, locally flavoured product selection was offered by six retailers instead of one. Revenues have increased by +25%. Jersey Airport is the first in the world with a permanent stage for live music, promotions and food tasting.
