Aeropuerto International Arturo Merino Benitez De Santiago (AMB) as the main transportation gateway to Chile; contributes to the Chilean economy through efficient flow of people and goods. Rapid economic growth and limited capital investments, rendered existing cargo facilities inadequate to meet future demands.
InterVISTAS was contracted to develop a cargo terminal development strategy that addresses cargo expansion, development and redevelopment options available. The strategy aimed to be flexible in adapting to a market characterized by extreme peaks.
The Cargo Development Strategy positioned AMB to meet the demand provided by the cargo traffic forecasts. Today the airport has 18 cargo airlines, centralizing all international cargo into a series of warehouses.
