Auckland International Airport Limited (AIAL) is planning on new terminal/runway infrastructure. Faced with rapid growth, key facilities such as the domestic terminal are heavily constrained. Air New Zealand needed validation and review support on the project.
InterVISTAS developed independent forecasts, capacity review and planning services to assess the proposals from AIAL and its consultants. Delivery of comprehensive studies on key aspects of trigger points for development were provided.
Airways, the provider of air navigation services, was prompted through the InterVISTAS work to undertake a major capacity enhancement working group initiative. Additional outputs of the InterVISTAS work are expected to improve the timing and cost of facilities.
