In 2007, the Winnipeg Airports Authority Inc. (WAA) completed an update to its Airport Master Plan and Land Use Plan to reflect the strategic vision it adopted for the future of the airport and associated work undertaken through an Airport Site Redevelopment Program. A key component of WAA’s long-term business strategy is the creation of an airport city at and around the site.
The Commercial Real Estate Development Plan was prepared to provide competitive analyses and the framework needed to guide current development proposals, while simultaneously establishing the land development strategy for long-term achievement of WAA’s airport city concept.
