InterVISTAS Consulting carbon offset Initiatives to verifiable solar, wind, and food security and water projects

At InterVISTAS Consulting, sustainability is more than a buzzword—it’s a commitment to tangible action. In a move to reduce our carbon footprint, we recently offset 300 tonnes of carbon through the Gold Standard marketplace, demonstrating our unwavering dedication to environmental stewardship.

A Global Effort

After thorough consultations with our staff, we selected four impactful projects that span the globe:

1. Guatemala Improved Cookstoves: We directed 60 tonnes of our offset to this vital initiative, which focuses on providing efficient cookstoves to local communities. These cookstoves not only reduce carbon emissions but also improve health outcomes by minimizing indoor air pollution.

2. Akbuk Wind Farm Project, Turkey: We allocated 75 tonnes to support the Akbuk Wind Farm. This project harnesses the power of wind to generate clean energy, significantly reducing reliance on fossil fuels and contributing to Turkey’s renewable energy goals.

3. 27 MWP Solar PV Project by MH Technique Solaire India: Another 75 tonnes were dedicated to this solar project in India, which aims to expand the country’s solar capacity. By investing in solar photovoltaic technology, we are helping to provide sustainable energy solutions and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

4. Water is Life, Madagascar: The remaining 90 tonnes were invested in the Water is Life project in Madagascar. This initiative focuses on providing clean drinking water to communities, which not only saves lives but also reduces the need for wood and charcoal used in traditional water purification methods.
