ACRP Report 272 – Incorporating Shock Events into Aviation Demand Forecasting and Airport Planning
InterVISTAS is proud to announce the publication of our latest ACRP research report: ACRP Report 272 – Incorporating Shock Events into Aviation Demand Forecasting and Airport Planning.
The report provides a systematic methodology for building resilient airport business models by directly considering and incorporating shock events into their strategic and long-term planning activities. It is based on rigorous research on methods for identifying, modeling and planning for industry shocks as well as an examination of experiences from the COVID-19 pandemic and other shock events within both the airport industry and other sectors. The report includes a set of case studies which apply the shock events resiliency methodology to two US airport to provide practical examples of how the process can be applied with varying approaches.
Thank you to our research partners: Hubpoint Strategic Advisors, KRAMER Aerotech, Max Henrion of Lumina Decision Systems, and the late David Vose. We also express our gratitude to the airports that generously contributed their insights and data.
