What You Will Do

InterVISTAS is seeking an experienced Airfield and Airspace Planner with a desire to solve the airfield and airspace challenges facing our airport clients and assist in growing our airport planning practice. The ideal candidate will help provide our clients a comprehensive airport planning approach leveraging the diverse perspectives of professionals with airfield, terminal, landside, and financial expertise. They will also contribute to the business development efforts for aviation planning pursuits.

What We Are Looking For

required

• Five (5) years of experience in airfield planning, with a minimum of five (2) years in private industry
• Experience leading airfield and airport planning studies involving:
  • Airfield capacity analysis and airfield optimization
  • Airfield geometrical analysis and/or preparation of airport layout plans
  • Airspace analysis
  • Delay and capacity simulation modeling
  • Apron/aircraft parking position/gate optimization and layout
• Familiarity with FAA and ICAO airfield planning and design guidance and standards
• Strong writing skills and ability to convey complex airfield and airspace issues to non-technical audiences
• Willingness to travel and work as part of an integrated airport planning team
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, architecture, or related field
• Recognition of the importance of company culture and embracing shared values revolving around delivery of excellent customer service

Desired, but not required to apply

• Experience using airfield simulation models and analysis tools
• Experience with advanced air mobility (AAM)
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau)
• Ability and interest to develop and mentor junior planners
• Ability to contribute/lead business development activities
