What You Will Do
Join our Vancouver office as an Analyst in our Economics team! By joining InterVISTAS, you’ll become part of a team of thought leaders influencing the evolution of aviation and transportation on a national and global scale. You’ll play a vital role in undertaking economic research, data development, analysis, report-writing, and presentation development on a wide range of projects for a diverse set of clients. Dive into interesting initiatives spanning economic impact analysis, demand forecasting, market studies, policy and regulatory analysis, and more. The work will focus on the transportation and tourism industries, particularly the aviation sector. The position will be hybrid, with a combination of in-office and remote attendance, based Vancouver. Specific details are to be confirmed upon hiring.
Your Role
- Utilize various research methods and tools to gather relevant information, demonstrating problem-solving skills in addressing challenges such as data interpretation and research limitations.
- Support the analysis of data to identify trends, patterns, and insights, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all deliverables produced.
- Conduct literature reviews and other forms of qualitative research on topics related to commercial aviation and the broader transportation sector across Canada and globally.
- Craft professional reports and project deliverables, explaining research methods and drawing insightful observations.
- Support the preparation, organization and formatting of proposals, marketing presentations and other organizational materials.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, or business/commerce.
- At least 2-4 years of prior work experience in a similar quantitative role is an asset, as well as experience in consulting, but is not a requirement.
- Strong quantitative research skills with the ability to conduct thorough analysis and provide sound interpretations.
- Developing and growing writing skills that match written narrative with quantitative results and analysis.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects, collaborate with diverse teams, and deliver results under pressure.
- Competency with the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or similar applications is an essential requirement for this position.
- Self-starter with a driven personality, comfort with independent work, willingness to learn, and an eagerness to take on challenges and strive towards goals.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a particular focus on the ability to ask relevant questions and synthesize complex problems.
- Strong organizational skills, with a particular focus on the ability to manage one’s time between multiple tasks and competing deadlines.

- Competitive base salary (CAD annually) of $68,000 to $88,000, with potential for annual performance-based bonus.
