Your Mission – Provide airline commercial expertise (airline network, revenue management, and/or closely related functions) and airport market and route development expertise to diverse clients. Manage analyst/s supporting airline consulting and airport air service development projects.

 

Here’s what you MUST bring:

  • At least 5-10 years experience in a medium/large airline’s network planning, revenue management, and/or alliances teams
  • At least 3-5 years team management and/or cross-functional team management experience
  • BA/BS degree in Economics, Business, Geography, Transportation, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field; MBA or MA/MS degree in related fields preferred
  • Understanding of U.S., Canadian, and international carriers’ airline route networks and network development trends at airports in the U.S. and Canada
  • Demonstrated mastery of airline network and revenue management data sources and modeling tools, including at minimum QSI, schedules, and demand data. Experience in airline route profitability systems, airline inventory management and/or pricing background, and/or understanding of airline fleet assignment models preferred
  • Relationships with airport route development teams and previous experience at airline route development conferences highly preferred
  • Demonstrated analytic and data centered approach to problem solving
  • Demonstrated mastery in developing persuasive and succinct executive-level presentations
  • Experience in business intelligence platforms preferred (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience and comfort leading presentations before executive audiences; experience persuading diverse external audiences
  • Willingness and availability to travel up to 40%, as required by business need
  • Comfort with client relationship building, entrepreneurial work generation, and client contract negotiation. Client relationship management experience preferred
  • Experience with project and financial management, organization and delivery skills
  • Ability to translate client requirements into a commercially viable project
  • Experience responding to RFPs preferred

 

Here’s What You Need to Know How To Do:

  • Lead the team in development of market analysis, market forecasting, long term network design, and route profitability forecasting for client airlines
  • Develop airline restructuring / turnaround analyses, including consideration of network, connectivity optimization, revenue management, fleet, and other elements as required
  • Lead market analysis and feasibility studies for start-up client carriers
  • Lead aircraft selection, fleet planning and management activities for client airline projects
  • Lead codeshare, alliance, and joint venture evaluation and benefit estimation for client airlines
  • Provide airline financial modelling expertise including income statement projections, passenger and non-passenger revenue, and costs under alternative future scenarios
  • Advocate for new and additional air service to client airports by: building compelling, data-driven marketing materials; facilitating opportunities and/or representing client airports in securing new service by target airlines; and developing optimal incentive models and packages for client airports for new service
  • Develop airline and air service route targets for client airports, considering airport catchment economic conditions, market demand, drive/divert, competition, and fare environment
  • Utilize diverse granular data for assessments of true airport catchment area demand, and passenger leakage to nearby competing airports
  • Assess airport market segmentation and growth opportunities within multi-airport regional systems
  • Track and highlight economic conditions, demand, capacity, and airline route developments that may create new air service opportunities for client airports
  • Provide ‘best practice’ advice on airline commercial organization structure and work process flow. Drive process and performance management improvements for client airlines
  • Be a visible representative of InterVISTAS and client airports at industry conferences and events
  • Build positive and durable working relationships between InterVISTAS and airline / airport clients
  • Manage InterVISTAS teams on select airline and airport service development analyses
  • Lead training activities for InterVISTAS airline network optimisation tools, data sources, and processes. Ensure accuracy of network modelling information and reference data
  • Market and promote InterVISTAS’ services to prospective airline and airport clients
  • Develop consulting proposals in response to RFPs, and develop and present proposals to target clients
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and empowerment
  • Other related duties as assigned by InterVISTAS leadership from time to time
