What You Will Do
InterVISTAS is seeking highly a motivated and passionate Director, Air Service Planning & Network Analysis to join our growing aviation consultancy. This role provides specialized aviation commercial and transportation data analysis expertise, focusing on airline network planning, revenue management, finance, and related functions. By leveraging extensive industry data, market share modeling tools and deep industry insights, the Director provides expertise for a variety of projects and clients, including as examples:
- Market opportunity, restructuring, and feasibility analyses for airline clients
- Airline financial modeling expertise including income statement projections, and revenue and cost analysis
- Airline/aviation related policy analysis for client trade associations and governments
- Aircraft market assessments and airline fleet planning activities
- Air service opportunity analysis, route forecasts, and marketing development for airport clients
- Analyses of drive/leakage of passenger traffic among competing airports
The Director leads a team of analysts, manages projects to timely and accurate completion, and markets InterVISTAS services to prospective clients..
What We Are Looking For
Required
Experience:
- At least 7 years in roles focused on: network planning, revenue management, or finance within a medium/large airline; air service development at a medium/large airport; and/or management consulting in similar quantitative airline/airport analysis.
- Minimum of 3 years in project management, with direct people management or cross-functional team leadership preferred.
Education:
- BA/BS degree in Economics, Business, Aviation Management, Geography, Transportation, Data Science, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated mastery of airline network, financial, revenue management data sources and modeling tools, including at minimum, route forecasting models (QSI), schedules, demand, and revenue data from industry and government sources.
- Experience in airline route profitability systems, airline revenue management, and/or understanding of airline fleet assignment models preferred.
- Strong capabilities with large data set analysis tools (e.g., Alteryx, SQL) and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau).
Professional Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to develop executive-level presentations, lead high-stakes presentations, and effectively persuade diverse audiences.
- Proven analytic and data-centered approach to problem-solving.
- Demonstrated experience in project and financial management.
Travel:
- Willingness and availability to travel up to 20% as required by business needs.
Desired, but not required to apply
Advanced Degrees:
- MBA or MA/MS in related fields.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with client relationship building and entrepreneurial work generation.
- Experience responding to RFPs.
Network:
- Existing relationships with airport route development teams and prior attendance at airline route development conferences.
Location
InterVISTAS offers a flexible remote work arrangement for this role within the US or Canada. If the Director’s primary residence is in a city below with an InterVISTAS office, periodic in office days are preferred:
- Washington D.C.
