What You Will Do

InterVISTAS is seeking highly a motivated and passionate Airport Planning Consultant to join our growing aviation consultancy.  Responsibilities of the consultant would include providing technical analyses related to airport terminal, airside, and ground transportation planning and operations.  Specific assignments may include terminal facility planning and design, airfield and airspace analyses, demand and capacity analyses, master planning, quantitative and qualitative analysis of roadways and parking facilities, policy studies, and preparing conceptual plans/layouts for airport facilities (i.e., rental car facilities, roadways, parking facilities, taxiways, terminals).  InterVISTAS is willing to train the Consultant to fulfill these assignments.

Your Role

  • Develop deep industry knowledge, going beyond numerical analysis.
  • Build databases for analysis with data from various sources.
  • Undertake quantitative analysis and support the interpretation of the results.
  • Craft professional reports and project deliverables, explaining research methods and drawing insightful observations.
  • Assist in proposal preparation and develop marketing presentations and materials to support business development.

What We Are Looking For

Required

  • Graduate degree (or undergraduate degree with two or more years of relevant experience) in civil engineering, transportation engineering, traffic engineering, industrial/operations engineering, or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (quantitative and qualitative) with the ability to conduct thorough data analysis and provide sound interpretations
  • Strong communication and writing skills with the ability to translate data and empirical results into compelling reports and presentations.
  • Ability to visualize and develop concepts in two and three dimensions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external clients
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and resourceful as well as collaborative and team-oriented, as InterVISTAS is willing to train the Consultant on projects and in a team environment

Desired, but not required to apply

  • Up to five years of related experience in airport planning, traffic engineering, civil engineering, or related aviation industry experience
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, Revit, and/or Sketchup
  • Proficiency data analysis and statistical packages
  • Experience with simulation tools and data visualization
