Mexican Airport Privatization Due Diligence

The Challenge

Schiphol, USA was evaluating the opportunity to bid on one or more of the groups of Mexican Airports to be privatized, and need to know whether any of the opportunities met their investment objectives.

Our Role

InterVISTAS served as Schiphol, USA’s key advisor as it considered whether to bid on one or more of the groups of airports being privatized by the Government of Mexico.  We worked closely with Schiphol, USA and its financial and infrastructure advisors to evaluate the overall prospects for making a successful bid for a viable airport privatization that met their investment objectives. The analysis included an evaluation of economic conditions, the production of traffic forecasts, and a financial review of the terms of the concession contract.

Based on the results of this analysis, Schiphol, USA decided not to bid.
