A multiple accounts evaluation was conducted which examined transportation, economic, socio-economic and environmental accounts with respect to building a fixed link in the region. An economic impact analysis was conducted to estimate the potential benefit to the region’s economy in terms of jobs as a result of the fixed link.
BC Ferry Services, Price Cap Review
Assisted the world's largest coastal ferry operator in developing its regulatory submission to the Ferry Commissioner, for its first four year price cap review.
BC Partnership for Sustainable Tourism, Carbon Calculator
currently developing a web-based carbon calculator and carbon offset sales mechanism for the BC Partnership for Sustainable Tourism.
Canadian Film & Television Producers Association, BC Film Industry Vision Document
organized a forum and prepared a strategic plan to the expand film industry. Using the Vision Document, the association was successful in obtaining new tax credits for the film industry.
City of Cranbrook, Economic Impact Studies - Airport
Projected Regional Economic Impacts of Cranbrook Airport Expansion to support the City of Cranbrook's bid for government funding for expansion of the airport; conducted a study documenting the current economic impacts of the airport and the regional tourism industry. The study also projected potential future economic impacts of the airport using growth scenarios.
City of Kelowna International Airport, Greenhouse Gas Report
developed a GHG inventory and reduction strategy for the City of Kelowna International Airport. Included in this inventory are emissions from airport operations, aircraft takeoffs and landings, and passenger commuting to and from the airport.
Comox Valley Airport, Economic Impact Studies - Airport
Estimated the current economic impact of the airport, including tourism impacts, using a survey-based methodology. Also estimated the potential future economic impact of achieving best case scenario traffic growth.

Council of Tourism Associations of BC, Economic Opportunities Study
quantified the economic impact of tourism in North and Central BC, examined the existing scale of tourism in North Central B.C. and the potential course development may take in these regions. Finally, recommendations were made on statistics/information, infrastructure, marketing, work force, cultural skills, border issues, insurance/finance, facilities and land use/environment.
Greater Vancouver Gateway Council, Vision Document
led a Working Committee of representatives from all modes of transportation and different sectors of the economy to articulate a clear vision for the future and develop a detailed action plan to realize it.
Kamloops Airport, Economic Impact Studies - Airport
Estimated the current economic impact of the airport, including tourism impacts, using a survey-based methodology. Also estimated the potential future economic impact following infrastructure enhancements at the airport.
Lower Mainland, Long-Run Economic Outlook
reviewed and customized existing commercial economic growth forecasts based on the local and unique conditions existing within the Lower Mainland. A five-year and 40-year forecast was developed for Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and Personal Disposable Income (PDI).
Port of Nanaimo, Economic Impact Study
estimated the current economic impact of the Port of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. As part of the study, surveys were carried out with port-related businesses to determine the level of employment linked to the port, including the trucking logistics chain.
Prince George Airport Authority, Greenhouse Gas Report
developed a GHG inventory and reduction strategy for Prince George Airport Authority. Included in this inventory are emissions from airport operations, as well as passenger commuting to and from the airport.
Prince George Initiatives, Feasibility Study
developed a feasibility study for intermodal rail terminal investment in Prince George. The result was an investment of $10 million from CN.
Richmond Trade and Exhibition Centre, Multiple Accounts Evaluation
conducted a Multiple Accounts Evaluation of the potential trade and exhibition centre to be located in Richmond, British Columbia in which 20 accounts were established to analyse and consider the RTEC alternatives.

Conducted four studies of Canada’s second largest airport to assess the impact of government policy and airport development strategy such as the Canada-U.S. Open Skies agreement, the opening of the new international terminal and the opening of the North parallel runway.

Vancouver Port Terminal, Alternative Options Analysis
conducted a study to identify and evaluate alternative terminal locations for the shipment of mineral concentrates to/from the West Coast currently handled at one of the Port of Vancouver terminals.

Winnipeg International Airport, Economic Impact Studies - Airport
estimated the current economic impact of Canada's eighth largest passenger airport. As part of the study, surveys were carried out with airport-related businesses to determine the level of employment linked to the airport. The economic impact of the multi-stage capital investment program was also estimated. Two microeconomic studies were also prepared - one compared the economic impacts of a low cost versus a full service passenger flight and the other documented the economic impacts of a single integrator cargo flight.

Ottawa International Airport Authority, Economic Impact Studies - Airport
estimated the direct, indirect, and induced impacts of airport operations. The various impacts estimated include jobs, person years of employment, gross domestic product, and economic output. The study was conducted with a very short time frame in order to be available for a public advocacy use of the study.
Southern Ontario Gateway Council, Start-Up Plan
developed a start-plan to assist local stakeholders establish a Southern Ontario Gateway Council.
Transport Canada, Economic Analysis of Security Measures
This study included an overview of Canadian and U.S. transportation security measures implemented since September 2001 and an assessment of their impact on Canadian transportation stakeholders including port authorities, marine facilities, the St. Lawrence Seaway, and shipping lines, in addition to air carriers, airports rail carriers and freight forwarders.

created custom data tables to quantify inbound air passenger volumes, routings and fare category by top European origin countries, Canadian provinces and cities.
Tourism Ministries Canada, Air Travellers Security Charge Monitoring Report
conducted econometric analysis examining the impact of the Air Travel Security Charge tax on air travel costs for air carriers and passengers. The study provided estimates of the number of domestic, transborder and international passengers that were likely priced out of the market in 2002 as a result of the ATSC and the corresponding revenue, profit and economic efficiency impact. It also discussed the economic inefficiency of the existing flat rate charge and evaluated how an ad valorem or distanced based charge would have much smaller impacts on air travel (hence airline route viability and tourism) while raising the same revenues.
