Gerry Bruno, Group Chief Executive Officer
One of North America's most respected transportation and tourism executives, Mr. Bruno has pioneered new approaches to strategic market development. He was at the forefront of the vision to develop the Vancouver International Airport into a major Asia-Pacific Gateway and played a key role in advancing new policy, facilitation and security initiatives such as Canada-U.S. Open Skies, In-Transit Pre-clearance, Transit Without Visa, and Perimeter Clearance. 
 
Jim Miller, Group President & President InterVISTAS Consulting LLC (U.S.)
Mr. Miller is a leading expert in the economic analysis of aviation issues and opportunities. His capability stems from his extensive experience as a senior aviation executive, as well as an investment banker specialized in aviation transactions. He provides highly effective competitive positioning services to airlines, aviation services providers and governments across a wide range of areas, and expert analysis and advice on international air service development and airport privatization.
 
Mike Tretheway, President InterVISTAS Consulting Inc.

Dr. Tretheway is widely considered as a leading transportation economist and has served as an expert witness and advisor to governments, airlines, airports, ports and railways in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Africa and before the European Commission. He earned a PhD in economics from the University of Wisconsin and served for 14 years as Associate Professor of Transportation & Logistics at the University of British Columbia.
 
Hans Mohrmann, Executive Vice President
Mr. Mohrmann has 20 years international airport management and development experience. He has advised governments on the privatization of airports in Europe and the Middle East, IFIs on airport investments and provided counsel on post-privatization concession management to governments. From 1992-2001 he spearheaded the international activities of the Schiphol Group culminating in the redevelopment of Terminal 4 at JFK Airport and the acquisition of Brisbane Airport.
 
Barney Parrella, Executive Vice President
Mr. Parrella assists airports in the fields of airport/airline relations, airport commercial practices, air service development, and strategic planning. He has held senior positions at the Washington, D.C. airports, the Airports Council International and the Air Transport Association, leading to specialized expertise in the commercial relationship between airports and the airline industry.
 
Paul Ouimet, Executive Vice President 
Mr. Ouimet has 25 years experience in marketing, policy and economic development in transportation and tourism. He has worked with many port, airport and tourism clients in North America and the Caribbean to develop strategic plans and marketing programs. He has also worked on various organization reviews and business plans for new ventures in several industries. He was previously Vice President of WESTAC, a highly respected association of business, government and labor leaders.
 
Emre Serpen, Executive Vice President 
Dr. Serpen is focused on developing and executing optimal and implementable solutions in both strategy and business transformation assignments . His extended client relationships are driven by the delivery of business results. In Airline Space, Emre has worked with over 40 carriers worldwide. Projects include feasibility, network design, revenue management, distribution, operations control, crew management and IT Strategy. In MRO space, Emre has led strategy, restructuring, productivity improvement and cost reduction assignments for multiple clients. In Airport space, he led a transformation project for BAA.
 
John Weatherill, Executive Vice President
Mr. Weatherill has extensive experience in strategic airline route planning, market share modeling, route profitability forecasting and airport incentive package development. He has represented airport clients in air service negotiations with airlines throughout Europe, Asia and North America. Mr. Weatherill holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree from the University of British Columbia and worked with WestJet Airlines before joining InterVISTAS in 2000.
 
Solomon Wong, Executive Vice President
Mr. Wong has served as a consultant to government agencies and facility operators on transportation planning, security and border facilitation issues. For clients, he specializes in the integration of new processes and technologies to passenger and goods processing. Mr. Wong is also active in the community on several Boards and advisory groups related to transportation planning and immigration/settlement issues. He holds a Master of Science in Planning from the University of Toronto.

Robert Andriulaitis, Vice President
Mr. Andriulaitis has 18 years experience in transportation policy, cargo economics and marketing, foreign trade zone development and business logistics, in both the private and public sectors. With a MSc in Transportation and Logistics, and experience in air, rail, trucking and inter-city bus transportation issues, he brings a multi-modal perspective to the development of client-focused solutions. Prior to joining InterVISTAS, he worked for the Governments of Alberta and Manitoba.
 
Douglas Banez, Director
Mr. Banez has extensive experience on client work related to airport facilities development, including economic and financial analysis of proposed projects. He is a specialist in the areas of traffic forecasting, aviation networks, air service development and air cargo. He also advised aviation clients on regulatory matters before the U.S. Department of Transportation.
 

Aaron Beeson, Manager, Policy, Borders and Security
Mr. Beeson has a proven track record of success in advancing border and security based solutions and analysis. He has worked on major assignments in Europe, North America and Africa. Aaron brings a diverse set of experiences, knowledge and skills to address complex problems and their impact on the greater environment in which the client operates. His projects typically involve providing a creative balance between enhancing national security while maintaining or improving operational efficiencies through policy and/or operational changes.

 
Mary-Jane Bennett, Executive Consultant
Ms. Bennett began her career in the Ontario Ministry of Justice, then worked in private practice in Manitoba. In 1997, she received an appointment by the Governor General-in-Council to join the Board of the newly formed Canada Transportation Agency, where she was subsequently involved in a broad range of transportation issues. Mary-Jane served as a Board Member of the Canada Transportation Agency from 1998 to 2007. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and a former member of the Transportation Lawyers of Canada and United States of America. She has served in law firms in Ontario, Manitoba and British Columbia.
 
Rob Beynon, Vice President
Mr. Beynon has a Masters Degree specializing in Japan-North America trade relationships. In addition to work assignments in Japan and Australia, he has worked for the International Commerce Centre and established Canada's first Foreign Trade Zone. With 15 years experience working with companies in the aviation, rail and marine industries, he has specialized expertise in intermodal cargo, community economic development, regional airport development, FTZ marketing and economic impact assessment.
 
Koen Brinkman, Director
Mr. Brinkman specializes in economic and financial modeling for aviation projects. His education and experience has provided him with in-depth analytic capability in the areas of process analysis, is evaluation, scenario modeling and related tasks. His most recent work has focused on public/private partnership issues and analyses in the airport and aviation sectors, including performance modeling, revenue analysis and competition analysis.
 
Nigel Brownlow, Vice President
Mr. Brownlow has over 20 years airline and aviation experience in financial control, fleet and network planning, market and schedule development, revenue management, distribution systems development, and traffic forecasting. He has designed advanced airline and airport business models and has developed a revenue management system appropriate for contemporary airline fare structures. Mr. Brownlow leads InterVISTAS' revenue management practice and is active in the fleet and network planning services.
 
Tim Catling, Executive Consultant
Mr. Catling is an international authority in the use of IT in air transport. He brings a deep understanding of implementing IT strategy, outsourcing and business transformation to improve business performance. Tim has led a number of market shaping airline PSS selection programs from strategy to implementation. He has helped airlines to introduce new cargo and pricing systems, apply lean manufacturing techniques and manage ITIL improvement programs. Tim has also worked with GDS and other IT suppliers in selling and implementing winning proposals to air transport clients.
 
Chilwin Cheng, Executive Consultant
Mr. Cheng advises businesses in heavily regulated industries and helps them to transform compliance and governance challenges into business opportunities. As a lawyer, he structures for-profit, nonprofit, and quasi-governmental organizations, advises on re-organizations and designs corporate compliance systems. The former Chief Counsel and General Manager of Canada's stock exchange regulator helps clients to solve their most complex governance and compliance issues.
 
Paul Clark, Vice President
Mr. Clark has 15 years management experience in tourism and transportation. He has directed strategic planning and market research initiatives for organizations in North and South America, Europe and the Caribbean. Prior to InterVISTAS, he held senior posts in sales and marketing for Forbes Travel International, in market research for Tourism Whistler and for the Vancouver International Airport Authority. Mr. Clark holds a BSc degree in Geography from the University of Glasgow and a Masters degree from Simon Fraser University.
 
Martin Copeland, Executive Consultant
Mr. Copeland has 35 years experience in the aviation industry including 20 years in senior management positions with two international airlines where he specialized in route planning, code sharing alliances, marketing and airfare analysis. Mr. Copeland managed air service development for the Vancouver International Airport Authority. His extensive airline contacts support airport clients in air service development, air access studies, strategic planning, revenue guarantee negotiations and airlines in strategic planning, marketing, and feasibility analysis.
 
Kenneth Currie, Senior Vice President
Mr. Currie focuses on legal and economic analysis of airline and airport issues, with particular emphasis on aviation network systems, operating economics, aviation regulatory regimes and international aviation competition. Kenneth works with airports and airlines worldwide in air service and traffic analysis, revenue and cost analysis and airport development issues.
 
Marijan Dzima, Executive Consultant
Mr. Dzima provides monitoring and analysis of national and regional air services markets in Souteast Europe's Western Balkans region. As an Air Transport Engineer with focus in air services development potential and initiatives, his experience spans from university research, lectures, to technology transfer, economic development, air laws and polices. Mr. Dzima has worked with the Ministry of Transport in Macedonia to set up their Air Transport Department and implemented their operations.
 
Debbie Homonai, Manager, Administrative Services
Ms. Homonai has over 20 years of experience in accounting and financial management. She managed bookkeeping and office functions for over 50 clients with a concentration of accounts in the hospitality, construction, legal and medical industries. Her primary accounting focus has been on corporate tax and payroll functions for multi-state entities. Additionally she specialized in providing customized training and consultation to small businesses. Ms. Homonai is a member of the AICPA.
 
Sue Hope, Executive Consultant
Ms. Hope is a resident expert in IT systems and outsourcing for the transport sector. She has over 20 years of management consulting experience with project time in both technical and business aspects of IT. She has lead a significant assignments for airlines in Asia and Europe, focusing on outsourcing IT service elements, programming, and modelling. Sue’s outsourcing experience has covered sourcing strategy, supplier evaluation and selection, financial analysis and negotiation management.
 
Joe Kelly, Executive Consultant
Dr. Kelly has over 12 years of senior-level consulting experience to public and private sector clients in tourism and transportation. He has expertise in greenhouse gas management plans, carbon offsetting strategies, market and consumer research, forecasting and scenario analysis. Dr. Kelly is skilled at applying statistical techniques on market data to identify tangible strategic intelligence on behalf of clients. He holds a Doctorate in Resource and Environmental Management and a Masters degree in Statistics.
 
Ian Kincaid, Vice President
Mr. Kincaid is a transportation economist with over ten years experience in aviation, rail and urban public transportation. Prior to joining InterVISTAS, Mr. Kincaid was a Senior Consultant at a major multi-modal transportation consultancy in London, U.K. During his career, he has worked on projects in Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa and Australia. Mr. Kincaid holds a MSc in Operations Research from the London School of Economics.
 

Roel Klein, Vice President
Mr. Klein has 19 years experience in water treatment and environmental management and consultancy. He specializes in climate change and Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction projects. He is an expert on the Kyoto protocol and the European Emissions Trading System for greenhouse gases. He has developed important Clean Development Mechanism projects and worked on Technical Due Diligence of Emission Reduction projects. Mr. Klein has worked with many different cultures and speaks seven languages.

 
Jacqueline Kuehnel, Executive Consultant
Ms. Kuehnel has been a travel industry executive for 25 years. She has advised tour operators, airlines, destinations, hotels, resorts and environmental organizations in product development, business strategies and sustainability. Her specialty is climate change, strategic carbon management, sustainable business practices and corporate social responsibility.
 
Marcus Lam, Director, Network Design and Financial Planning
With a background in airline network planning and finance, Mr. Lam specializes in airline business plan analysis, restructuring and financial optimization. He has worked in the Network Planning and Scheduling departments at Air Canada. His responsibilities included the capacity and profit optimization of Air Canada's entire fleet of over 340 mainline and regional aircraft. Mr. Lam has expertise with scheduling and fleet assigner software to optimize flying schedules based on passenger revenue forecasting models, crewing guidelines and aircraft maintenance requirements. He brings a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Master of Business Adminstration from the Rotman School of Management.
 
Robert McFadden, Executive Consultant
Mr. McFadden has worked within large corporate organizations, such as Cathay Pacific, Unisys and Hutchison-Priceline, and has also been engaged by large consulting firms on a full-time basis, as well as on a project-related basis. Deeply committed to the travel industry and with a personal passion for travel, Robert continually seeks new challenges to expand his experience. Of the many projects he's been involved with, Robert is particularly proud of his role in the launch of Cathay Pacific's Electronic Ticketing, as well as being part of the team that created Virgin Blue Airlines' first loyalty program.
 
Doris Mak, Director
Ms. Mak has over 10 years marketing and consulting experience at InterVISTAS, working in several different areas including market research, air service development, economic analysis and intelligence. Ms. Mak has been involved in many integrative consulting projects that draw on her various project experiences and require a wide spectrum of knowledge. She has a Bachelor of Science (Zoology) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) in Marketing and Finance from the University of Manitoba.
 
Howard Mann, Vice President
Mr. Mann is a specialist in passenger/border/security facilitation, government policy, and air service development. Mr. Mann has served as a key liaison for clients on government policies including U.S. passport/visa, CBP & DOT proposed regulations, and US-VISIT. Prior to joining InterVISTAS, he served with ACI-NA, where he worked extensively on bilateral air service policy, passenger facilitation, and domestic air service. He has a joint degree in Business Administration and History.
 
Steve Martin, Senior Vice President
Mr. Martin has over 20 years experience with the U.S. Government Accountability Office and the Congressional Budget Office. He served as GAO Assistant Director for Airline Competition and Financial Health where he led evaluations of the effects of mergers and alliances, liberalizing transatlantic air service, reservation systems, air carrier bankruptcy and pension problems, and changes in air service to smaller communities. He also worked on major investigations in telecommunications, infrastructure and public-private partnerships.
 
Mike Matthews, Executive Consultant
Mr. Matthews has 50 years experience in aviation. His leadership in this area includes serving as Director General, Aviation, Transport Canada, Pacific Region and Vice President Operations for Vancouver International Airport. Among his distinguished accomplishments, he was involved with the technical, financial and environmental analysis for construction of an additional 10,000 foot runway, the air traffic control tower and the first Category III instrument landing system in Canada.
 
Michael Morstein, Director 
With over 30 years experience in the aviation industry, Mr. Morstein oversees the development of strategic plans and air service development programs for a number of clients. Before joining InterVISTAS, he worked with British Aerospace plc as Marketing Projects Manager and Manager of Business Analysis, as well as with the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Civil Aeronautics Board. Mr. Morstein holds a BS degree in Business with a major in transportation from the University of Maryland.
 
George Novak, Director 
Mr. Novak is an internationally-recognized expert on aviation safety, security and regulatory issues. With over 20 years experience as an international aviation attorney and consultant, he has worked with more than 100 countries on strategies for compliance with ICAO safety and security standards and on privatization of their civil aviation sectors.
 
Paul Paflik, Vice President
Dr. Paflik is a senior management consultant in the airline and airport business sector. Before joining IVC in 2011, Dr. Paflik was with Austrian Airlines (member of the Luftansas group) for over 25 where he gained extensive experience in both the strategic and operational aspects of international aviation. He has led numerous projects with governments, airline alliances, airlines and airports thoughout the globe. Dr. Paflik has held top management positions in the areas of sales and distribution, network planning and revenue management as well as ground operations. His focus is on new business development.
 
Karla Petri, Manager, Economic & Financial Analysis 
Ms. Petri has over fifteen years experience in economic and financial analysis, feasibility studies, airport retail and land development and sustainability. She has developed and evaluated RFP's to select concessionaires, tenants and business partners. Experience in the utilities sector includes load analysis, revenue forecasting and market research. Past experience includes roles as Corporate Financial Analyst with Vancouver International Airport and developing/evaluating Power Smart programs for both BCHydro and Manitoba Hydro. She holds a Masters degree in Economics and a diploma in Urban Land Economics.
 
Rick Russell, Vice President
With over 30 years of international consulting experience in Europe, Middle East, Asia and the United States, Mr. Russell is a civil aviation and tourism development specialist, creating focused business solutions such as aviation privatizations. Prior to consulting, he worked 10 years in airlines route development and marketing with AirCal Airlines in the USA. Based in Croatia, he advises governments, airlines, airports and institutions on business restructuring, strategic planning and feasibility assessments.
 
Maike Schmudlach, Manager, PPP Market Development and Concessions
Ms. Schmudlach is a specialist in the design, implementation and analysis of survey research programs, both nationally and internationally. She is responsible for creating customized sampling plans for all InterVISTAS surveys and has experience in managing large survey teams. Prior, she was a researcher for the Sauder School of Business at UBC where she specialized in international benchmarking studies for large industries. She recently completed her one-year Master of Global Business program, as well as her internship with DHV in Amersfoort and was involved in projects including business development, innovation, knowledge management and tmarketing.
 
Roger Sellick, Executive Consultant
As retired General Manager of Kelowna Airport, Mr. Sellick is widely recognized for his contributions to regional airport management. His work is regarded as influential in shaping tourism development in Western Canada. His expertise is in federal and municipal administration, regional airport management, tourism and economic development.
 
Johan Scholvinck, Vice President
Mr. Scholvinck has 20 years of high-level experience in retail and real estate planning and development, both in airport expansions and performance improvement of existing facilities. His expertise includes airport strategy, concession planning, partner models, financial and contractual matters, international benchmarking, marketing and branding, design and commercial training.
 
Carol Smiciklas, Executive Consultant
Ms. Smiciklas brings 16 years' experience with the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) where she held various key positions including Manager of Terminal Services, ORAT Manager of the Airport Development Project and SLA/Customer Experience Manager. Prior to GTAA, Carol worked in in-flight services for Air Transat and reservations and sales in the hotel industry.
 
Tony Steemers, Director
Tony Steemers is a Certified General Accountant, with an MBA from Laurentian University. Tony brings his expertise in systems, process improvements, financial planning, reporting and international transfer pricing operations. He has 14 years of experience in a controller role with Rolls Royce Canada - a manufacturing of marine propulsion equipment and a similar experience for a medium-sized manufacturing company.
 
Richard Sullivan, Vice President
Mr. Sullivan brings more than 30 years experience in the aviation and government relations sectors. He provides strategic advice to the aviation sector in commercial development and is an expert in transportation issues. He specializes in the development and implementation of airport commercial and strategic plans and has a deep understanding of the role of federal, state and local governments in the areas of aviation, trucking and maritime.
 
Joe Sulmona, Associate Consultant
Mr. Sulmona has a Masters Degree in Urban Geography and has over 20 years experience in urban and transport planning. He has held senior planning positions at all levels of government and in the private sector, including Transport Canada, the Vancouver International Airport Authority, the City of Coquitlam and the Province of British Columbia. His experience encompasses strategic planning, transportation policy development, land-use and capital planning, project management and stakeholder consultation. Mr. Sulmona is also licensed as a pilot.
 
Stanley Tse, Manager
Mr. Tse has professional expertise in operations research and simulation modeling in a variety of industries. Having significant experience in planning and process analysis within the transportation industry, he performs assessments of operational effectiveness and helps review process improvement initiatives. He holds a Master of Science in Operations Research.
 
Paul Vallee, Executive Consultant
Mr. Vallee has over 20 years destination management experience. He is specialized in developing and negotiating long-term strategic plans with private and public sector stakeholders. His specialty is in performance measurement and benchmarking, digital marketing, membership marketing and visitor services. He is a part-time instructor in international destination marketing, tourism policy and planning at Capilano University. Mr. Vallee holds an MBA from the University of Waterloo.
 
Olaf van Tol, Senior Consultant
Mr. van Tol focuses on the commercial development on and around airports, with particular emphasis on airport city development. He obtained his degree (B.eng.) in Aviation Management and a master degree in Organizational Science. He spent eight months in Beijing, China conducting research on the critical success factors of airport city development and work on airport city projects in China, Germany and Saudi Arabia.
 
Debra Ward, Executive Consultant
Ms. Ward has over 25 years experience with Transport Canada; the Auditor General of Canada; the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency; the Canadian Airports Council; the Atlantic Canada Airports Association; the Canadian Tourism Commission and ICTS Europe among others. Debra has written and presented papers to numerous organizations including the World Tourism Organization, Canadian Transportation Research Institue, Canada West Foundation, and the Van Horne Institute and also contributes commentary and articles to a variety of media. She is a recipient of a 2003 National Transportation Week Award of Achievement, is an Ottawa consultant and former president of the Tourism Industry Association of Canada, who served as the Independent Transition Observer on Airline Restructuring for the federal Minister of Transport between 2000 and 2002.
 
Chris Warren, Executive Consultant
Mr. Warren brings fifteen years of experience in airline-related commercial and financial roles, with particular expertise in financial and strategic analysis, market and network planning, and corporate and business development. He began his airline career at American Airlines in route profitability, revenue management, and codeshare planning related roles. He also spent time with TWA and over seven years at ExpressJet Airlines where he led the network design and planning process for a 42-aircraft line of business start-up. Mr. Warren brings significant airline and airport consulting experience, acquired through engagements spread throughout the globe. He holds a B.S from Bradley University and an M.B.A. from Rice University.
 
Alex Welch, Manager, Route Development
Mr. Welch works with airports, governments, airlines and other stakeholders to develop business cases to facilitate discussion between all parties involved. With a background in economics, his knowledge is wide-ranging and allows him to structure new air services business cases for communities around the world and assist airlines in expanding their networks in a way that is both profitable and inline with their strategic goals. Mr. Welch recently authored an article about the benefits of code-sharing for publication in a Canadian airport's quarterly magazine.
 
Mick Werson, Vice President
Mr. Werson has 15 years of experience in economic consulting roles, of which 10 years have been in the aviation industry. At Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, he held the position of financial controller of Schiphol North America and gained extensive experience in the field of airport operations, economic airport planning and finance, and airport privatization. In recent years, he has worked in senior roles on airport privatizations and financial planning projects in the Middle East, Asia, Europe, Africa and North America.
