Egypt Air Commercial and Network Strategy

The Need

Egypt Air’s had ambitious growth plans. Emre Serpen (in a previous role) was invited to develop a commercial and network strategy to help realize the client’s objectives.

Emre Serpen’s team was engaged to examine all strategic options and undertook a complete network analysis.

Our Role

As part of the recommended new network planning process, the schedules for both summer and winter 2004 were reviewed and projected schedules were drawn up for subsequent years to 2008. A  fleet plan was developed & a new hub design configured. The team also analyzed codeshare agreements. The role included implementation and knowledge transfer.

Results

As a result of the plan, Egypt Air gained a $45 million uplift, per year, for five years. $4.5 million of the gain was delivered during the first six months following delivery of the project.
